Originally designed by Rhys James in 1992 against the backdrop of the global recession, the Futurepearl series of necklaces and bracelets was the perfect minimalist antidote to the excess that pervaded both high fashion and street style in the early 90's.
Imagining a world where the scarcity of natural materials would make the responsible sourcing of precious gems such as pearls unfeasible, the vision behind Futurepearl, was about creating an upcoming classic - the pearl necklace of the future.
This 25th Anniversary edition Futurepearl capsule incorporates rhodium and represents an evolution of the original elegant and slim proportions of the capsule, combined with a high polished two-tone finish in varying material combinations.
